Step 1: Configure Your Bullet

The caliber is the largest diameter of the projectile. For best match to your barrel we recommend to slug the barrel and measure the groove diameter. But for most calibers there exist good indication values.

Here you can select the number of cores, as well as their materials and weights.
The core number: Depending on your application a core quantity of 1 2 or 3 can be beneficial. Note that depending on the caliber there is a minimum mass for a core, starting at 30grs.
The core material: Each core can consist of a different material. For many hunting purposes for instance a front core made of soft lead and a rear core consisting of PbSb10 (a lead antimony alloy with 10% antimony to increase the hardness) will work well.
The core weight: The weight for each core can be selected within the range of minimum weight to properly handle the core and the maximum weight which is defined by the jacket, the shape, meplat diameter and base style. The bullet weight is then the sum of all core weights plus the jacket mass.

The tip shape: You can select between an open tip design, where the jacket at the tip is open, a lead tip, where the lead core forms the tip and the ultra low drag (ULD) design, where the tip consists of a steel cone – giving a very sharp hybrid ogive. For the all lead bullets a semi wadcutter design is available where you have a round nose in the center surrounded by a sharp edge which is beneficial for punching clear holes on paper targets.

The base style: Here you can select between a classic flat base or a rebated boattail. The latter one has a cone with approximately 8° from a small step at the end of the shank till the bullet base. This design is superior in case of reducing the base drag of the projectile. However one has to know that highest accuracy will be generated with flat base bullets.
